Chevrolet has launched the 10th generation of the all new Impala, the definitive flagship sedan that has arguably been the symbol of American luxury cars. So the question is can it come back and be top of the class in its segment?
My opinion is yes, Chevrolet has really thought about what the Impala is here to do and that is to give to the consumer a luxury top of the range sedan, with a powerful fuel efficient V6, and still give great value for money. With the 2014 Impala I believe this has been delivered.
The exterior re-design has been well executed; from the front we can see the look of the iconic Camero with the sculptured hood drawing your attention down to the fierce looking low- profile projector-beam headlamps. From the side it has the look of the Dodge charger with wide rear arches and 20 inch alloys, giving it great stance on the road. The Interior boasts great craftsmanship with a contemporary and fresh look. The car has plenty of storage space and the Smartphone-influenced connectivity with MyLink, Chevrolet’s new infotainment system, works well and is user friendly.
The level of comfort is impressive and I am not just talking about the seats, the smooth power delivery is complemented by the graceful gear changes and with the 3.6L V6 producing 305bhp, the Impala has plenty of grunt.
The 2014 Impala arrives in showrooms in June and is offered in LS, LT and LTZ models. In the UAE, prices start at 105,000/-dhs for the LS and 129.000/-dhs for the LTZ model.
