Recently Koenigsegg released information about their latest project named the Agera One:1, they asked the question "What if we were to produce something that is clearly above the hyper car category… What would you call that class?"
The question instantly sparked a new trend on all social media platforms as the opinions rolled in. We would call it "EPIC," and here's the reason why.
The New Agera One:1 is not only the most powerful Koenigsegg ever built but quite possibly the fastest car ever. With a top speed of 273mph it puts it firmly on the top step for fastest production car. The current top speed record was set only a few weeks ago by the Hennessey Venom GT with a speed of 270.48mph.
So what's the difference between the Agera R and Agera One:1? After all it's the same 5.0 V8 twin turbo. The Swedes claim the combination of higher rpm capabilities and fine tuning explains the increase in power. To cater for the extra speed they have sourced stronger tyres and improved aerodynamics equating to 600kg of downforce.
The interesting bit is the power to weight ratio; 1340bhp is said to be produced and it weighs in at 1340kg, giving it the name Agera One:1 - one horsepower for every kilogram.
Set to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next week, but don't get your hopes up… Sadly only six units will be produced and they are already sold, but we will remain positive and keep our fingers crossed that one of the showrooms in Dubai is on the list for one of these fine specimens. The McLaren P1 also sold out but Alain Class Motors managed to get their hands on one.
